2010-11 Partner Training Workshop

Friday and Saturday, August 6th and 7th, 2010
9:00 am - 4:45 pm
San Mateo County Office of Education
In Redwood City (get a map)

In Project ASTRO 3rd-9th grade teachers and youth group educators from around the Bay Area are paired with volunteer astronomers who have an interest in working with local schools and community centers. Together, educators and astronomers participate in a 2-day summer workshop, receive astronomy resource materials, and develop a strategy for working together in and out of the classroom. This is a free program that encourages science literacy in students. Both Teachers and Astronomers can find more information and applications on our webpage: http://www.astrosociety.org/baprojectastro.html

Take a look at last year's handbook to find out more about the partner workshop.
