Annual Meeting Sponsorship Opportunities

In 2013, the ASP celebrates our 125th premier gathering of education and public outreach (EPO) professionals. Via workshops, lectures, panels, discussions and exhibits, more than 300 specialists from across the science spectrum collaborate to explore best practices, research findings, trends and professional development opportunities. Meeting attendees then return to their classrooms, laboratories, lecture halls, technology offices, government agencies, publishing houses and science centers armed to diffuse and disseminate all that they have learned.

Co-hosted by San Jose State University, we are excited that our 125th Annual Meeting will be held in our backyard and the nation’s hub of science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) industries. Accordingly, we are focusing our 2013 Annual Meeting on STEM literacy, and across multiple disciplines from earth science to space science, from physics to astrobiology. The timing is imperative, and the stakes could not be higher. Our future’s successful workforce depends on:

  • Critical thinking
  • Comfort with data & information technologies
  • Scientific curiosity
  • Understanding of our world in context
  • Quantitative fluency
  • Passion for exploration and discovery

This is where and how the ASP delivers!

In addition to another popular Galileo Teacher Training Program (GTTP), 2013 also marks a Cosmos in the Classroom year. This unique triennial conference welcomes teachers of college-level introductory astronomy for a series of education workshops about one of the most popular basic science classes in universities across the country.

Please visit the ASP’s meeting pages regularly to learn about registration, abstract submissions, exhibit opportunities, sponsor benefits, volunteering, campus/hotel room options, and more!
