Important Information About Online Registration

Welcome to registration for ASP2018: Advancing Astronomy for All. We recommend reading this Registration Information page thoroughly before completing the registration form.

Hotel space will be at a minimum during this time of year. We strongly encourage registering for the conference and reserving your hotel room early. Early-bird registration will end on June 13, 2018, after which regular registration rates will be in place.

Conference Registration Fees

Please note deadlines below carefully; payment must reach us by the deadline for the lower fee to apply.

Early Bird (through June 13)
Members: $395
Non-Members: $460

Regular (June 14 – Aug 10, or until available registration spaces fill up)
Members: $495
Non-Members: $560

Registration Fees include:

  • An ASP Conference Series book of this 130th Annual Meeting (available mid 2019);
  • Daily breakfasts and snacks;
  • Complimentary reception with no-host bar on Monday, September 10th at 7:00 pm;
  • Buffet dinner on Tuesday, September 11th at 7:30 pm. You will be asked to reserve your space on the Registration form. Guest tickets for the Reception and Dinner together are available for purchase.

Special Tours

Come early and enjoy a taste of the wine country!

On Monday September 10th, we are offering a Sonoma Wine Country Tasting or an Historic Sonoma Square Tour. Tickets with details for you and your guests are available for purchase.

 


 

ASP Membership

Join the ASP if you wish to receive the member discounted rates for this conference and to enjoy the Member benefits such as digital Mercury Magazine and Astronomy Beat, as well as a 10% discount on most AstroShop products.

Submitting Abstracts

Abstracts can be submitted without registration and account creation. Instructions and submissions.

Submission Deadline: May 15, 2018.

Notifications will be sent out around June 1.

 


 

Payment and Registration Information

There are three ways to register for the ASP2018 Annual Meeting:

Purchase Orders

We apologize that we cannot accept purchase orders as a payment method for this meeting or the associated events.

Refund/Cancellation Policy

Requests for cancellations on registration must be received in writing or via email to meeting {at} astrosociety.org no later than August 31 for a full refund less 15%. Cancellations received after August 31 or persons who do not appear at the meeting are not eligible for any refund.

Refunds will take approximately three weeks after the end of the meeting to process. Contact us by phone at 415-715-1400 with any questions.

Registration Instructions – ASP Members Paying by Credit Card

Current ASP Members

  1. Login to your MyASP Account.
  2. At the top of the page, select ASP Events/ASP2018 Annual Meeting.

New ASP Members

  1. Purchase Membership.
  2. Login to your new MyASP Account. This is the only way you will receive your membership discount off the Early Bird or Regular registration fee.
  3. At the top of the page, select ASP Events/ASP2018 Annual Meeting.

Multiple Registrants

Every registrant must complete a unique registration form. Please contact us at meeting@astrosociety.org with questions.

 


 

Registration Instructions – Non-ASP Members Paying by Credit Card

  1. Visit the MyASP Portal.
  2. Select ASP Events/ASP2018 Annual Meeting. We recommend you create a MyASP account as you do not need to be a member. It will allow you to see your registration purchases in your account.

Registration Instructions – Mail-in Check/Money Order Payment

If you wish to pay for registration and/or a special event by check or money order, you will need to register by phone. Please contact us at meeting@astrosociety.org or 415-337-1100

Checks or money orders must be made payable to:

“Astronomical Society of the Pacific” or “ASP” and paid in US dollars.

Deadline Notification

Your check or money order must be postmarked by June 13 for Early Bird fee, and September 1 or when registration fills up, whichever comes first for the Regular fee.
